INTEGRATED CAVE DIVER PROGRAM
(Duration: 7 Days)
Minimum Prerequisites: : Advanced Open Water Certification or equivalent, competence in buoyancy control and a minimum of 50 to 100 logged open water dives

An alternative to the listed "modular process" is the increasingly popular "Integrated Full Cave Diver Program". Participants who chose to complete their cave training in an uninterrupted manor are able to fulfill the requirements for Full Cave Diver certification in a minimum of seven days of training.

This program covers the course requirements of all the modular programs combined. Full cave diving equipment (double tanks) is utilized from the start. While maintaining a progression of skill development from basic to more complex, this agenda effectively completes "Full Cave Diver" requirements without pause. For qualifying open-water divers who are traveling from considerable distances and have limited time, this program is particularly applicable.

Skills training in the Full Cave Course includes, but is not limited to:
body positioning (trim)
buoyancy control
emergency procedures
line following
propulsion techniques
use of reels
jumps and gaps
Y’s and T’s
circuits and traverses
restrictions
decompression diving protocol
dissimilar tank volumes
silting
entanglement
disorientation
task loading
psychology in cave diving
equipment modifications
problem solving

After an open-water evaluation and cave diving techniques and orientation dive has been completed, a minimum of fifteen full cave dives are performed in a minimum of six different cave systems over a period of no less than seven days. Duration can be as long as eight days or more based on student progression. Additional days are prorated based on normal course fees.

Consistent with all of Speleotech’s programs, knowledge development takes place in a non-stressful and relaxed atmosphere. During the progression of the course, academic proficiency is measured through the completion of written exams.

Certification for this course is available from NSS-CDS, NACD, and IANTD.
